You give me fever
Spring Fever that is.
So, um, I’m currently having motivation issues and I need your help.
Source of my lack of motivation: Summer…summer…summertime.
I am super pumped for my summer plans. First, I am starting things off with a killer road trip. The majority of which will take me through a southern state I’ve never set foot in: Tennessee. This will be our route: Memphis, Nashville, Knoxville, a hop, skip and jump over to North Carolina to spend a few days in Charlotte then it is south to Sarasota.
Once I get to SRQ, I have a sweeeet internship lined up at Sarasota Magazine. So excited! Only snag in that plan is that the internship is unpaid. Pray I get something fun for a part-time gig to earn some spending cash. Open to suggestions.
Then I’m off to L.A. to meet Baby M
The verdict is still out as to whether or not I want to be called “Auntie” Maybe just Ka? Or how about Leenie? Or En would work, too. Kathleen can be a little hard to say. I guess Baby M won’t be able to talk for a while so we have some time to work it out
With all of that said, can you blame me for having trouble concentrating?
Sigh. I have tests, projects and homework assignments to be completed, but those are small potatoes compared to the three major papers that are awaiting completion by yours truly.
Paper # 1 My independent study paper. I got to talk to some awesome editors last week who are doing some really innovative stuff with new media and commenting practices. Now I just have to put those interviews into my paper.
Paper #2 My magazine design graduate research paper. It only has to be six pages, but the bugger has so many parts to it that it feels never ending. Although I do enjoy the research topic: the rhetoric behind magazine covers. Very interesting stuff.
Paper # 3 A qualitative research proposal on a topic I’m not really sure about. This is the class I’ve struggled with most this semester so I’m most nervous about this one. Yikes.
So where do all of you come in? Well, I’m a quote girl as most of you know, but I keep looking at the same ones. I need some fresh material and judging by all of the work I have to do, I don’t have time to be looking for new ones that pump me up. So I would love, love, love it if you could email me your favorite motivational quotes to help see me through all of these papers and other work so I can start my sweet, sweet, summer life.
Thanks for your help! I’ll let you know how it goes
Much love from CoMo,
Kathleen
